Civilizations all eventually decline and crumble. It sucks when you're a part of it, but it's inevitable and clearly happening in front of our very eyes.
Give up vain hopes (ie, that trump is actually going to do anything effective to reverse the tide about anything), and make a pragmatic plan going forward.

The next 30 years are going to be interesting.
Shitskins are flooding the US which will lead to balkanization by the 2040s.
Automation and AI will make it do people no longer have to work, leading people to move to megacities and live in cyberpunk oriental style megabuildings and live off ubi.
With VR and sexbots most people will drop out of society and become hikikomori, being a normie with a family and fleshnet life will be seen as something like the amish.
With the advent of AI either the US will completely cripple china and any adversaries and continue to lead the world or the opposite for china, or there will be a major world killing the majority of humans or flatout destroying the planet.
This all could have been avoiding if people still lived like the mid 00s and smartphones were never pushed onto society.
Absolutely if they were pocket computers only and only had wifi then they would have only been a thing for geeks and computer people.
