where you would pay for impulses or minutes on a slow modem and you would appreciate the slow download speeds and instead or browsing the web like you do now you would download entire websites or catwlogues of sites at once and browse offline later? aapparently thats how it was in apolqnd up to the ewrly 2000s and I dont re,ember ever being this primitive in the states but was it? Apparently aive read in this polish Pixel or Piksel magazine about gaming how at the orignl like mid 90z you actually had to spend as mucha s it vost a car tot egister w model with the government wnd later use this single company thwt operwted a browser or www and pay for minutes and apparently people would cheat the system by signing off right between one or two impulses or some shit or st the cut off limit snd st night when it was cheaper. sounds like an interesting experience wnd time to be wround in Poland no? I do remember the rmwpant piract we well from visiting during this time and a time when computer cafes were a thing. where real gamers and internet users and people the underground would all huddle in them just like in the arcades of the 80s and early 90s.
