You already are from what I've gathered, mooching off welfare is also viewed as criminal by many though, of course the courts currently don't agree with that.

As mentioned though we are working on that and the laws will be retroactive.

The money all goes back to the system anyways so I don't see how it's a drain on taxpayers when I go to a store and pay sales tax on an item which is used to pay an employee who has to pay taxes on their earnings which gets used for more welfare and spent at another store in an endless cycle.

It's not like the money just vanishes when the person gets it

The money isn't invested, that's the difference.

If the money went to someone productive and then used it to buy food which in turn would fuel his body to do more work and be more productive then it's a worthwhile investment.

However if the money goes to someone who just sits around in the same underpants he's owned for 10yrs and he just naps all day then when he spends the money to buy food it's not resulting in a worthwhile return. It's the same $20 going around and around...instead of growing into $30 or $40 or $1.2 million dollars.

There is no growth basically other than your willy when you jerk off to internet porn and even then the growth is negligible.

True. But I believe it's supposed to be used as a last resort, a way to Take care of the essentials, While you work on providing for yourself. I'm not criticizing you, But I believe that's the intent of government programs. Maybe it's different in Canada?

With all the taxes you've paid over the years, you shouldn't feel bad using government services, if unforeseen circumstances required it. To my knowledge, that's more of a hypothetical, because you've accumulated lots of money, and manage it well.

Doug The only reason you have an apartment as because your parents pay your rent. You fail to provide for yourself. Financially, even I'm more successful than you, and that's pathetic. I pay my own way.

Why does it need to grow. It's fine if it just goes around in a circle. Maybe if people weren't so worried about economic growth we wouldn't have pandemics which cause negative growth
