Cookies aren't viruses. Viruses reside either in memory or on the hard disk.

Yeah you're confirmed straight up retarded. Maybe if you spent a little more time clearing your cache instead of making bookmarks and facebook posts, you would be an expert like me.

    1. I don't have a Facebook account.

    2. My browser is set to clear it's cache on exit but that is 90's lvl n00b to fret about cache and cookies.

    3. I honestly don't have one bookmark.

So back to you knowing everything...

While that may be true, it is also true that there are ways of making malicious cookies. The example i always like to give is Samy Kamkar's Evercookie API implementation. Bad enough on it's own but highly malicious if purposefully weaponized.

That's a tracker, not a virus. A virus can manipulate data on the harddisk and create changes to the system. The Evercookie and Supercookie can only spawn itself to maintain tracking and identification.

It's a JS API it will write to your HDD through your browser. You're out of your depth on this one.

Spawning isn't exactly "writing", and I'm not out of my depth at all. I'm in my depth.

You don't spawn a cookie, you write it. You spawn a process.

Copy is a read/write operation. WHAT ARE CHECKSUMS EVEN FOR

Can you get your head out of your ass and use proper nomenclature? Then we can have an actual discussion.
