As i get older

2020-07-06 at 7:44 PM UTCi find myself cutting contact with more and more people. As ive got older and had more life experiences i see more actions from people that i dont care for and realize most people are pretty shitty.
I find it to be a positive decision to not be in contact with people ive known for many years but realize over the past couple years that they are really always all about themselves. Anyone else feel the same?The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

Of my two very close friends coming out of high school, one became involved in meth, and the other became a soycialist. -

The older you get the more you realize friendship is about quality not quantity. 40 years ago I knew hundreds of people who I saw at least once a week. i feel you, the more i know someone, the more i grow to hate them, they mostly all turn out the same. i have no regrets throwing out the trash, what i do regret is not spending more time on totse back in the day. there were some truly high quality people there and i couldve been a better man today.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

pretty much the same. like I know everyone has their own moods/problems, but seriously something thats made me quit talking to a few people is because they get bitchy and whiny on top of their problems. Like as if I'm the one causing there bad day.
I have a neighbor who I jam out with and chat with but the other night he acted really obnoxious, he was ranting about blm to the point where it was embarrassing. I mentioned something about my friend TJ being a snake farmer, and he was just like "Fuck that guy, fuck him, he's a piece of shit" and I was dude you don't even know him..
I think he's kinda depressed because he's told me a couple times that his mom jumped off of a parking garage in houston and I feel bad for him but he's kinda moody.
