I think he wants more people to play with though.
If it's the dude I'm thinking of we should invite him. He comes on a few times a week and has told me he enjoys how small our server was. But he was like 20k out or something because of griefers.
It sucks. I love playing this game with people and seeing what we can build together, but some asshole always has to ruin it.
I miss when I used to be 'mayor' of a Total Miners' server. If my old ass computer hadn't died I'd post pics. We had a guy on there that was really good and taught me how to build the pagodas and viking longhouses and so much other shit. My town was so in depth. You had to buy property, pay taxes, I had fucking law enforcement that I paid. One time I uncovered an illegal gold duping operation and I seized the guy's house so he had to camp out in the woods until he made enough to buy his land back. Land had 'zones' which were protected so only certain players could edit them or open chests/doors/etc.
If you didn't play for 30 days and thus didn't pay property taxes (lol) your home would be foreclosed and sold off. There was an auction for these at one point and we had a courthouse where we did mock trials.
There was also a 'pirate town' of people who didn't want to play my city game, but they were considered outlaws so you could kill them/wreck their shit without any punishment.
Once I had a population of like 50+ the zones started getting funky and would not work. I shut it down after that but it was probably one of the most unique gaming experiences I've ever had and I've never found anything like that that isn't overtly complicated or on a server with hundreds of people and established bases. It was pretty jediy I'll admit, but it was awesome to see everything come together. Half this shit was not my idea but was suggested by my constable. I had two other admins who helped keep it running. This went on for like 5 months.
I should hit them up and see what they're up to. Maybe they'll join.
