Blade Runner is a shit movie dude. And yes, I've watched the extended director's cut or whatever. It's shit. Have you read the book? It's so much better and so much more in depth. The movie is just a visual cock show and it feels disjointed and illogical.
There are instances where the book is just as good as the movie. Like Harry Potter for instance. They did a great job recreating it. But the Blade Runner adaptation is fucking shit. I'm not even sure you see his wife at all even though she's a HUGE part of the book. They don't even mention that its a post-apocalyptic. AND THEY LEFT OUT THE GODDAMN ANDROID SHEEP which is one of the coolest concepts in the story.

Also blade runner is not even supposed to be cyber punk. It takes place in a wasteland city. Whole book talks about how depressing and grimy it is. Not flashy and futuristic. He's basically supposed to be living in the ghetto because all the rich people live off planet after the nuclear war.
