2020-06-29 at 9:21 AM UTCWaaaah Waaaah remember when PS2 and Myspace wah wah wah.
This is like the gayest shit ever. If the world was full of faggots like OP we'd be making sacrifices to the Sun God and dying from infected wounds.
Hiki, feel free to fill your mum's basement with dirty old crap from the mid-2000's, but stop telling us about this shit because 2000-09 was some gay 90's-lite bullshit and 9/11 was the best part. -

2020-06-29 at 9:48 AM UTCOP, back then normies were a minority on the clear net because most couldnt figure it out, people like us were the majority and we felt empowered because of it, now we are a minority on the platform we grew up on.
That means we have to move on to the next niche platform that normies cant figure out yet. the dark net, virtual reality communities and so on. this gets harder to do as you get older and set in your ways, so we have to follow the youngins example. no, not the retards who use facebook and have iphone sex over periscope, but where do disaffected youngins congregate? that is where we have to go. it is not our world anymore, it is their world and we gotta make that compromise. -

4chan isn't even what it was like in 2010 and even back then it was a shell of what it was from 2003 to 2006.
MySpace is gone.
Last.fm is a freeze dried corpse.
Forums are dying out.
Kikes took control of everything.
Flash is being phased out.
I'm going to be 30 years old in December.
You can't wait into best buy or EB Games and buy a brand new ps2
Staples is no more
American culture is dead and being replaced with judeo-shitskin "culture".

4chan is pretty much exactly as it was. A bit more genuinely racist, maybe. And less child porn. Have the memes changed? Sure. Has the general atmosphere of irreverent banter surrounding niche autistic interests like papercraft and anime disappeared? Nope. Forums are dying out though, sure. But they still exist. They're just not the primary means people have for communicating with each other online. Forums and forum culture still exist. You're fucking in one.
A lot of those are just... side effects of the inexorable passage of time. There aren't many products in this world that you can buy "brand new" in every store after 20 years. Guns, maybe? I can't think of any other thing you can buy after that long, least of all some form of electronics. And MySpace was actively shit - good riddance. You're lamenting the death of the "internet spirit" with one breath, and the death of the first major social media platform with the next. Make up your mind. If you think the internet is dying, MySpace was the HIV+ cock that riddled it with disease. Last.FM? The site created for the social media parasites spawned by MySpace to jerk themselves off by broadcasting what tracks they've been listening to like people post food on Instagram? Yeah. It sounds like you supported a lot of the things that got us to where we are today. Maybe this is just the fate you asked for. The fate you deserve.
PS: And fucking Staples? Still exists. But even if it didn't (or doesn't in the same form it did 20 years ago) that is comically specific to the point it borders on actual autism. Jesus Christ dude. Get your shit together. -
2020-06-29 at 10 AM UTCYou obviously weren't on 4chan prior to 2006 if you think it hasn't changed.
The culture and people have completely changed, it is absolutely nothing like it used to be. -
2020-06-29 at 10:02 AM UTCI miss walking into staples and checking out the latest desktop pcs.
Seeing rows of get televisions.
Crates of floppy discs for sale.
Niche and obscure pc games for sale on CD-rom.
God, those were the days. -

So it hasn't changed since 2006? Or it's changed so much it isn't what it was in 2010, let alone 2003 to 2006? How would I need to have visited the site prior to 2006 to see how it's changed since 2010?
Nothing has changed except you. You're almost 30. And so is everyone you posted with back in 2005. You're older. More jaded. There's a new crop of retarded 15 year olds shitposting on 4chan, but the site is still comprised primarily of retarded 15 year olds. They still talk about anime and manga. They still talk about vidya. It's all the same. -
2020-06-29 at 10:16 AM UTC4chan has gone through phases of change
There is the initial weeks and months during late 2003 when it was made to early/mid 2004.
Then you have the first phase of proper 4chan culture from 2004 to 2005.
In 2006 with the habbo hotel and Tom green raids there was a surge of newfags leading to a new type of 4chan culture that lasted until 2007.
In 2008 4chan entered a new phase with boards like r9k and the new found status of being a widely known site, this was the first era where 4chan as it was originally from 2003 to 2007 officially died.
In 2011 you had >current year culture with all the shiteating normies unironically using 4chan as a Facebook esque hangout (with cancer such as the majority of the normies on this site), this lasted until the elections in 2016 where 4chan basically became Facebook 2.0 where it would no longer be strange to find your sister or mom on the site.
4chan in 2020 is so different from 2003 - 2005 4chan it might as well be called a different site.
If you want a feel for how 4chan used to be go to 7chan. -

I was around when WT Snacks was a thing. That's why I kept mentioning child porn. kek
Channology fucked 4chan up a bit, but even with the influx of people the site has never really changed so much that it was unrecognizable. I don't know what boards you go to, but /a/ and /v/ are the same shit as ever. /po/ is as it ever was. If you want to see what /po/ was like 15 years ago, go to /po/. It was exactly like that. It's all the same. /b/ is different, but the same - it's still cancer. There are new containment boards for other kinds of cancer like /soc/. But the boards you went to in 2005 are all about as close to the same as they possibly could be without actually being static archives from 2005. -

You're turning into spectral. 🤷
You're comparing shitty diapers to pissy diapers. It's all soiled diapers, man.
