2017-02-22 at 6:23 AM UTCthe main reason to use https is to stop someone sniffing traffic from seeing what you do on the site - ie. school/work administrators or people logging public access points etc. can see your username and anything you post
password security is secondary; if someone gets your password they can post as you until you reset your password; who cares? unless you're the kind of mongelroy who uses the same password for everything, I guess -

That's the first one a bruter checks nigger faggot. The manner in which a bruter operates is by generating characters in all combinations, increasing the length of the sequence each pass by one character starting with one character. You are confusing a brute force attack with a dictionary based attack.
