I wish I had corona virus

2020-06-18 at 1:10 PM UTCEverything opening back up has triggered my anxiety and depression. I don't want to go outside but people keep phoning me telling me to go outside.
I have been licking my hands after touching door handles in a desperate attempt to get infected. This sucks.
I thought this was supposed to last another year when they made a vaccine. People are moving on and pretending like it never happened -

2020-06-18 at 1:36 PM UTCI'm of the mind that if most of us are eventually going to get it anyway...I'd sooner get it now and get it over with.
I go mask free where possible. -
2020-06-18 at 1:37 PM UTCI've never worn a mask in my life except on Halloween.

Not even a gimp mask? Some places here require you wear one to enter, I keep it in my car in case I come across such a paranoid facility. Also they are currently trying to make it a legal requirement in 7 (i think) Texas counties, with Harris county being one of them (Houston). -

Good it should be. Texas didn't do shit for lockdown and their numbers are soaring. Masks are the easiest and most effective preventative -
2020-06-18 at 1:51 PM UTCI know someone that has it. If you want it that bad all you gotta do is pay postage....

Uh yeah it is. It buys time to get the vaccine and prevents hospitals from being overloaded like we saw in NY where sick people were sleeping on the floor. There is a reason all the Asian countries employed harsh and mandatory lockdown measures and mask requirements. It works. -

regarding the disease itself it's not a preventative step. MOST "experts" have said the vast majority of the population will get covid over the next 2yrs or so...so again, I'd sooner get it over with now than 18 months from now.
Semi crippling the economy for 2yrs or getting it over with in 3 months? YOU DECIDE! -

The experts also say to wear masks. -
