Society is gay. If you think switchblades should be illegal you are the problem

I used to have a really nice double-edged 6" stiletto that came right out of the handle. So you'd push the button and it would come straight out of the end of the handle at full force. If you held it up to a piece of wood and pushed the button, it would go two or three inches deep into the wood. Really nice springs on it. I ended up selling it years back, when I sold my whole knife collection.

anyone want to disable a real nice OTF knife like an infidel or something and send me the parts separately?

I've always wondered how easy this would be. At what point would customs put a stop to it? The blade?

I love them, but OTF knives are essentially glorified letter openers, though. Do you just want one because they look cool?

I mostly just want one because I'm not supposed to have it

mechanically they're pretty interesting, I've tried making something similar in the past but I don't have the patience to work to such exact tolerances

I'd almost be willing to try sending you one for my own curiosity's sake.

How would you suggest packing and explaining it? Well, explaining it on your end, anyway. If it was intercepted.

As I understand it it's not illegal to send parts, only the assembled knife. You could probably argue that a disassembled kit is perfectly legal so long as you don't assemble it but it's not something I'd be willing to argue in court.

The only component that would be illegal on the face of it is the blade IF it's double-edged because double-edged blades of any kind are illegal here for some reason. The rest of it is just general mechanical parts and a nonspecific handle frame.

There's a guy that sells kits, switchbladekits.com, but shipping is expensive and I don't trust the brands he has for the asking price. I've actually talked to the guy about success rates to Australia and he says he's never had problems except with people doing retarded shit like massive orders or sketchy delivery information. He's pretty funny:

I have done this since 2005 and I have to say that Australians are the nicest people hands down. Australians take the time to read things and never place blame on other people and I have to say I appreciate Australians more than any other group of people I have ever dealt with. However, Australian Customs are a bunch of fannies and they should be asshamed at the job they have.

Australia is the hardest place to import to on the planet even communist countries are easier. I am greatly saddened by how many stupid laws Australia has let come into existence. There are many issues with shipping to Australia so it is best you email me and chat with me so we can discuss the risks and percentage rate of successful shipping of the particular item you wish to buy.

Yeah the Infidel was just off the top of my head, looking at what's available I'd probably go for a Phaeton.

$340 is a lot to risk though

Eh. If you want to pay for it, I'll entertain shipping it.

I don't like the design of the Phaeton as much. It doesn't look as sleek to me.

Bullshit. And how convenient that your entire knife collection is gone so you can't prove it.

OTF knives are gay to begin with.

i mean what tactical advantages do they offer other than shock and awe when you show them to little boys as your telling them to shut up.

i saw OTF comb once and i wanted it badly. i was 10 at that time.

besides its pretty easy to make one yourself if you have the patience to cut, file and sand down sheets of thick metal.

getting the springs for them might be a challenge, but not impossible if your willing to spend money.

    disassemble everything.

make a mould of a fish or something and put all metal parts like frame and blade into it and fill it with lead or tin.

    ship everything else separately.

wouod be great if you have friends that work in a clinic with x-rays you can get them to take a shot and see what comes out of it.

i wonder how suspiscious a lead figurine could be.
