It's all over the fucking place here, you can buy it in Aldi...the messican markets are full of the shit.

ETA: Exwife #1 used to make goat cheese from our goats. There is nothing at all fancy about it...goat milk, bit of salt and that's it.

It's not. But the amount you get for that price is very small compared to most other cheeses you get twice as much or three times as much.

That's the case with most things...you pay more for smaller amounts...welcome to the world of commerce.

Artisan small batch stuff always costs more because it's not made in some big factory. I like small batch locally made artisan stuff and I am willing to pay more to support local farmers and the industries

Again "artisan" is a marketing ploy, congrats for falling for it.

If the same dude makes a small batch or a huge batch...the small batch isn't any fucking different from the large batch.

I'll give you a personal example of that "artisan" marketing crap.

MANY MANY maaany years ago I worked for a fashion accessory company in the UK...we had a bunch of women's gloves that were not selling very well. Boss came up with the idea to market them as "THERMAL" and put a label on them showing a warm glow and the word "THERMAL" on it. The things then sold like hotcakes...

"Thermal" doesn't really mean shit...you could stick it on any item of clothing.

The dumbos fell for it "ohhh! it's thermal, I'm getting those!"

Go look around Walmart...you'll see breads, cheeses, pastas, pizzas, nuts, chips etc etc with "Artisan" versions there...nothing distributed by Wallyworld is made in small farmer friendly batches. lolol

Hell half the people you see selling at Farmer's markets are not farmers and are just offloading stuff they bought themselves to the dumb chodes.

I don't shop at walmart. I prefer to support Canadian grocers instead of American corporations and they have a wide selection of things made in this country that are authentic small batch.

Walmart is the best for low price mass produced things. They definately have an edge there because of their supply chain logistics keeping costs low but I would be willing to pay a bit more to buy it from a Canadian company instead
