They called me the walking talking phone book. I was that person that knew and remembered everyone’s #. Now I’m lucky to remember my husbands.

Anyway, what kind of toys did you have growing up?

    What was on TV?

How do you think society has changed since you were a kid?

And It IS.... For "THE REAL AMERICANS, Central Americans, South Americans, Mexicans, and the great tribes all the way to the arctic circle" When I was at lodge, I asked if I could stay here.... They were stunned. They said, "You may, because you respect our ways, and you have our backs,(I would die many times for each one if possible) I would help the council in any way I could... and humbled/honored to be a small part of it.

I lived so many places... Fort Rucker, Fort knox, Fort Sheridan, New Orleans, Downtown Chicago, and Northern Mich and the wilderness south and north too... I learned tools to survive and live WITH, not OFF the land, as well as the streets which were very different back then. Racial shit was EVERYWHERE! I learned berries, roots, trapping, fishing, Insects, how to get away from bears, and big cats and Moose during mating season, Gators and boars and big cats in the south. Tracking smells, sign(POOP), and tracks to burrows, caves, and parts of the woods. I still use all of it today! These were my toys sometimes, and I had wooden trains passed down, and Lincoln logs, Tinker toys, and later, Matchbox vehicles, and my bike, and a row boat that my grandfather built. We made huge tree houses and forts, and tire swings... wooden guns, lol, and the woods itself!

Oh, I had an old Irish Mael (Mail) scooter too.

TV..... hmmm...... Daniel Boone, Snowy and Tintin, Rin Tin Tin, Roy Rogers, Beaver, Andy Griffith, Car 54 Where Are You?, F-Troupe, Honeymooners, Mighty Mouse later, King and Odie, Movies, Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolf man, Nosferatu, and the horror stuff, loved it!!! but......3 Stooges, Abbot and Costello, Our Gang, Little Rascals, Laurel And Hardy, Bing Crosby, Lillian Gish and sisters, and my first crush, Clara Bow... I loved silent films....

    we didn't watch much TV...

We listened to RADIO! Mystery Theater, and all kinds of stories! More radio than anything else. TV wasn't reliable enough in the areas I lived, and or wasn't ALLOWED to watch, more like.

Society?...... everything's changed.... Simplicity is all but gone for most, and survival is a crash course right now for most, except the Preppers, they're loving this... sad. We could go ANYWHERE as kids, like the movie "Stand By Me", Trick or Treat was a journey, now it's the mall, but that will change... Candy has gotten much better, lol. Toys are everywhere, but nobody plays with those, because they are too busy on THEIR PHONES!!! We called and talked, or just went over, now it's just text text text....
