It's not so much about him being a genius or his credibility. Its about validity. If two people say killing babies is wrong and one kills an abortion doctor in protest and the other person voices their opinion peacefully, they both technically hold the same opinion. That opinion isn't invalid bc one person who held it did something fucked. If so, its be reason to disband all of BLM. It's not even about the person anymore. If the idea is "bomb people to stem the tide of techno-fascism" then yeah fuck that idea. But if the idea is like "globalization and technological innovation lower quality of life and read to abuses of human rights" that's a legit argument to weigh, regardless of who made it- whether its ol Ted or Bernie Sanders. -
