   I want to see how it grows around here. If it works out, I might do an extraction, then see how I feel about actually consuming the product. There are many variables and what-ifs - I have no plans.

   Those are all different alkaloids - different psychoactive drugs that give it a different effect. But alcohol… There is no psychoactive other than ethanol.

   Same reason why different folks experience different side effects from various producers of generic medications, as compared to each other, and the original manufacturer. There's more to the equation of how you subjectively feel than simply the psychoactive ingredients.

   Nah, people don't experience different side effects from different brands. That is bullshit and testing has shown as much. Ethanol is ethanol is ethanol.

    I didn't say 'prove it with science we already know.' I said "If you can't prove it with science it doesn't exist." Just because you can't do something NOW doesn't mean you can't do it at some point in the future.
    
    I maintain that everything can be proven by science even if we do not currently know. The existence of God, how life formed, everything. We reach new scientific breakthroughs on a regular basis. Humans are always searching for knowledge.
    
    We've been studying alcohol for god knows how long. Nobody has ever found anything that would give different boozes different effects, except for absinthe but the psychoactives in there are added afterwards and not part of the distillation process.
