They developed it on a ps5 dev kit.
The ps5 architecture is quite different from pcs in regards to certain tech and how it's connected together.
There won't be anything comparable (aside for GPU, CPU and ram) on pc for years.
The PS5 will transform the way pcs are designed. -

Consoles can and never will surpass PCs because they are static...read it slowly. -

The only thing notable about it is the SSD...and again that technology will be surpassed by PCs if not before release of the PS5...very soon after.
Regardless you seem to be ignoring the fact that it's technology is "set in stone" on release...for the next 10yrs or so till the next gen comes along.
You don't think in that 10yrs PCs will advance? Fucking lol...NEVER has a console outperformed a PC for any significant time...Lets say even if at release the SSD tech in the PS5 is still better than the PC SSD tech...that's still only 1 component...and it's only a storage device.
Google "buffering" too...slower devices can perform exactly the same as faster ones if buffered ahead of time...you can buffer on the fly while the computer/console is already doing something else. Streaming directly isn't a big deal. -
2020-05-14 at 6:48 PM UTCPS5 SSD: It will feature a custom SSD with 825GB of storage. However, it will be capable of transferring 5GB/s.
825gb...lol, you'll get 3 games on it then you're done.
5gb/s so same as the PC...

You should read some tech savvy articles on the technology of the ps5.

Again you're trying to discuss something you have absolutely no knowledge of.
As for the drive space, there is a specific reason sony chose that size.
Also, with ps5 the games will be smaller in size since the SSD (which you're totally ignkeant of) allows game assets to be loaded once instead of continuously like with hard drives.
They also allow you to install specific parts of the game at a time, such as the main story only if you're not interested in multiplayer. -
