Yeah ive confronted someone trying to steal my neighbors car twice (they have nice cars), and neither time did I bring my gun outside. i started filming and got the license plate of their car, and them yelled NEED SOME HELPnd they dipped hard. Called the police. I DID have to pull my gun when someone was hiding in the backyard after a burglary, and jiggling the back doorknob though. I was really praying he didnt keep trying to get in though, because that wouldve been a clusterfuck. So understand both sides. You SHOULD be proactive and protect your community, but you should also do it with a sense of proportion and common sense. Getting murdered with your ow gun is NOT the business though, so fuck joggers.

I don't get why hate crimes are a thing anyway. The crime is already bad enough. What does it matter if you're racist while doing it?

There are now pictures of armed gangs of black racial activists standing around the neighbourhood where this shooting happened.
If, in response to black violence, armed mobs of white racists invaded black neighbourhoods, imagine the backlash.
The local non-black population must be terrified. I would be. Blacks haven't historically treated other races well.

youre terrified because youre a coward and a hypocryte and hide behind your supposed big size in life but obviously are weak deep inside.

I think Wario is terrified by black people and too afraid to admit that, so he pretends to sympathise with them - which is a form of cognitive dissonance commonly found in victims.

Reaching range, maybe. Anything else and i think any normal person is just gonna get behind something or run away. The point is, doing that turned it from murder to a very possible self defense scenario. Same as Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin. Whether they shouldve gone out there to confront someone is kinda irrelevant. They saw someone matching the description of an earlier theft doing sketchy shit. That person had stolen a 9mm handgun (havent confirmed this from multiple sources). Believing the man might be armed, they brought gun, and tried to stop the man. Man fights younger dude for the shotgun, gets shot in the hand. Continues fighting and is shot again in the struggle. Continues fighting and (i believe) McDaniel finally gets co trol of the gun and shoots him once in the chest, ending the fight.
I mean I understand but how can we decide "a normal person at that range of having a gun pointed at them would run away?" That seems just as stupid, as though you're gonna somehow run away from a bullet. Both seem like spur of the moment instinct shit- fight or flight.
And I mean this isn't even a police type scenario where it's a dude getting drawn on by actual law enforcement, it's just a dude who sees dudes in a truck coming at him with a gun. You wanna be the judge and jury to say "oh well yes he clearly should've ran away and since he instead lunged at the gun he was the real threat and not the guy confronting him with the gun in the first place"?

You can certainly run away from a bullet. Its hard to hit moving things, even with a shotgun. Especially if thise things are two blocks away like the parties were when the video began. If theyd come out of nowhere, id understand it more. If theyd shot him before he made contact, id understand it more. I couldnt even see if the weapon was aimed. The father in the truck certainly didnt have a weapon drawn. He seemed to know that someone had called the cops. He saw and heard the neighbor on the phone, and thats why he started running. He could see the truck parked blocks ahead of him. He couldve continued running straight. Or left. Or SERPENTINE. But for some reason he went straight for the guy with the gun. And not only went to CONTROL the gun but started punching the dude in the face.
