me. Ive made good decisions in my short time on earth, unlike 90% of Americans. Ive sacrificed more than most of you could ever imagine in order to get to where i am today. The problem with the majority of Americans today is nobody wants to sacrifice "this" in order to get "that" in the long term. Everybody wants instant gratification, doesn't want to invest any time or money for the future, buys things they cant afford because its only "x" amount a month without looking at what it will cost them long term. Most people disgust me when they try to flaunt and brag about objects that i know they couldnt afford to buy but did anyway because loans are stretched out to unbelieveable amounts of years these days.
I think the scariest part is most people only have around a month or 2 at best of savings put away in order to keep their current lifestyle, i really dont know how these type of people sleep at night to be honestThe following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

NEVER lend money to your friends. I helped many in better times, to the tune of $120,000,00 to this day. I could use that now.
I heard one that thought I couldn't hear. he didn't know I was on the other side of the garage working: aaaaaah he don't need it back, he's not hurting. I'll pay him when I'm damn good and ready.
I had given him 10 grand, 6 months previous. He then needed it for his flat nose and missing ear. Never saw him again. -

I have been on a rebuilding my whole life over from nothing for 7 years, including my career - because yes I’m a stubborn, foolish woman who told my ex husband of 28 years .... see ya - and took absolutely zero (I lie, I demanded he pay my 15.00 phone bill until I die, which lasted 2 or 3 years) I paid for my kids education, so I actually started out with -a lot!
Anyhow, I took a risk less than 6 months ago, which I didn’t feel was a risk at the time because I didn’t foresee covid-19) I took a short term, low interest, large monthly loan out to pay off a huge remodel project of my home I purchased just 2.5 years ago. And my car is also too expensive now, but I was driving a lot for work and I wanted to treat myself to a car .. I felt I had earned a little something special for myself .. and my cobra is 600.00 a month + my life insurance. I have enough in savings to live 1 year with no incoming money. But I’m trying to avoid that.
