Fona 5-6-20 Chell Gets Cut.

Today is a big day.
I am taking a couple days off work for this even.
Sometime this morning Chell has to be at the doctors and they are gonna do surgery to fix her meniscus.
She is a little bit of a mess right now what with all the anxiety and unknowns.
But it is something that she has been dealing with for a while now and it just so happens we can go ahead and get it taken care of.
The actual operation part only takes a few minutes.
It is not one of those slice you from tits to dick surgeries...
More like a little cut here and a little cut there and the rest is done with fancy little robot hands.
Having any foreign body do work on your insides is gonna hurt.
They are going to put her under during the procedure.
But then she wakes up and there is the whole issue of pain meds as she is really against them.
We both are addicts after all.
I hope that doesn't bother her too much.
I know when you are actually in pain it is a lot different.
And also when you are taking them as prescribed.
Knowing her she will probably only accept ibuprofen after a day or 2.
The very worst part is probably happening right now for as of midnight she can not part take in food nor drink nor smoke.
I really debated long and hard about even sharing any of this on NIS as even though I know how some of you are, she doesn't.
But I kinda already let the news slip the other day and well... I might as well finish what I started.
Plus I am gonna be super bored waiting around a hospital tomorrow so I might as well start posting now.
Maybe I should do a Q&A while I am bored. Would you guys like that?

2020-05-06 at 7:34 AM UTCPanadol is highly effective and not addictive, that should be the basis of pain management.
You can safely take panadol and an NSAID such as ibuprofen or naproxen orally.
As well as that you should always favour topical treatment, such as ibuprofen or diclofenac cream or any of the various heating/cooling pain relief gels and sprays like "deep heat"- but be super careful putting heating/cooling stuff on a healing wound, that could really hurt.
I use diclofenac cream on my foot as opposed to taking anything by way of mouth, as it is more effective, is cheaper, lasts longer (at least 12 hours, versus 6 or so by mouth), and has less side effects.
If you are taking panadol regularly (and panadol is very safe unless you take a whole bottle at once) there should be no reason at all to require Shlomo Sackler's hillbilly heroin oxycontin or anything as bad. Tramadol seems like a good alternative to me. -

It was annoying being hit with 20 questions at the door to the building.
Then they took our temperatures.
In the waiting room there are these 2 super snobby stuck up bitches that are fake as fuck giggling back and forth.
Neither has their mask on either and they wont shut up.
They are saying "we are all in anyways" and just wont shut up.
The nurse lady at the front desk came out and told her to put her mask on and as soon as the nurse turned around she took it back off.
If it wasn't for the fact Chell is having surgery I would be going off on the stupid bitches.
If you're gonna talk and spit on everything then maybe you should be getting cut. -

I have to wait in the waiting room the entire time.
I feel really bad I cant be with Chell.
I havent ate today.
I need to go find some food and drink.
Im sure there wont be much to choose from in the hospital.

That is if I wanna go on a mile and a half long walk.
For now Imma just sit here until I start craving a cigarette.
There is a Target nearby.
I probably will just go to Target as it might not be a stupid idea to grab a few last minute things before Chell and I are stuck at home.
I mean... I can always take a bus but that doesnt mean I can carry 500 pounds on my back like she can in the trunk of her car. -
