Root Canal

Just back from a dentist. I have severe sensitivity on one of my molars, especially sensitivity to temperature changes. I made an emergency appointment at a dentist who is not my usual dentist, who took one look at it and said "oh it has a large filling, the root has died, you need a root canal or extraction". He really was pressuring me, and I didn't like the dynamic, so I said I wasn't going to do anything and left.

They charged me €100 for an x-ray, which showed nothing, and PPE (due to corona - a crock of shit charge). The root canal was quoted at €900. I can probably get that cheaper elsewhere. Extraction is €200, but I really don't want that.

Anyone know anything or have any advice?

    €900!!!

I would just say you're in receipt of Universal Credit (benefits for you stupid Yank cunts reading this), and get it for free. Lol them wankers tried charging me £68 for a 5 min checkup.

You only get fined £100 if they find you lying.

    I'd sooner pay £100 than £782 (€900).

I have a medical card, but cos it's a molar it's not covered for a root canal, just an extraction.

I'm pretty sure those fucks were trying to juice me, I see prices quoted for a root canal just €600 online - and just £300 in Northern Ireland.

The dentist was some 22 year old kid, just all like "yeah root canal, gonna get me some shekels"

I had a tooth pulled years ago, due to a bad root canal that was done repeatedly to try and fix it. I finally said pull it. I had plans on getting an implant, even had the cadaver bone put in to hold the implant. Then they told me $1,000.00 for it. I said forget it. It’s in the back of my mouth so no one sees it.🦷

I have a feeling I'm going to lose this tooth. It's being playing up for years.

Apparently Poland is the best place in Europe for cheap dental treatment. I can stay at Wario's house.

    Tooth feels better today.

My usual dentist just called and said not to worry about it unless it is very sore. He doesn't want to see patients due to Corona.

Update, I notice strange feelings from my teeth today.

Top left, bottom left, bottom right.

The best behaving tooth is the top tight one that had been giving trouble.

    Hope this keeps up.

    Am flossing, brushing and rinsing.
