One time back in september or something I went to old navy to get some jeap work jeans. And on one of the pairs they didnt take the security tag off on one of the pairs so I called and they said I can't take merchandise back in and get the tag removed, I didn't have the reciept at that point or something not sure what their policy was or whatever, and they told me theres no ink in and to just pry it off with a screw driver. And I wasn't gonna do that because i'm pretty sure theres ink in it, long story short, I went back and they still wouldn't take it off. I'm not sure how it is in your and his neck of the woods, but here a lot of places can legally tell you to get the fuck out. The cops tend to be on biz owners side. -

Yeah talking to HQ seems like the way to go here, Scron should tell them about how embarrassed and singled out he felt and how it upset him and caused him a lot of stress and anguish. -

Yeah because the employees at some of these places are really half assed. The HQ guy was totally, "yeah sorry about that"
If was me working at old navy and someone brought in the jeans, I'd just take off the tag myself. But instead they play the whole, weeel let me go get my manager shit..

You were in the wrong here. They do this so people don't come in to get the tags off stolen clothes. This is why you repeatedly get fired from jobs well into your 30's. -

no i wasnt, but the thing is they should of taken it off in the first place and not try to jip me out of money. And they did take it off. I even tried to reason with them and they even remembered me coming in purchasing them. plus they could of just looked up my debit card info to verify.
And I repeatedly get fired from jobs, I've only been fired twice, once when I was 19 and about 3 or 4 years ago. -

and also on top of that they aren't allowed to tell you how to remove tags, they even said that so they were violating their own policy ignoring helping me out.
They told me the tag didn't have ink in but I just felt they didn't know what their talking about and the HQ guy was like "yeah theres definitely ink in there, they need to take it off"
I looked up online how to take off the tag safely but I didn't want to risk botching it so it worked out for me to go back and get 60 credit and get it taken off. -

They're a private business and they don't have to do anything for you, including sell you clothes, accept your returns, or take off the tags from random shit that you bring in. No she was just a black / brown haired girl.. with brown skin and was 18. She was just dumb and fucked it up, and the manager there was not necessarily accusing me of stealing, but he was like "im really sorry man I can't do it" and So i had to talk to someone else to get them to do it.
I mean I paid for it I got them for work.. and they were pretty rude to me and were wasting my time by not doing their job. So... thats how I bought a bunch of socks and underwear and another pair of jeans.
I still have I think a few bucks on my old navy credit over it, but I don't really go shopping for clothes much really.
