I do love the lightning and thunder though. Yesterday was too hot. I dread summer coming. The humidity here kicks my ass.
Ive been trying to figure out a little business to start here, just to keep me afloat for the next year or when my company can hire me back ... most ideas involve being outside. I dread the thought of physical exertion in the Ohio summer blahhh. -

It’s great that you’re thinking about a new business. You may find something you like even more. -

I really love my job. It took me almost 4 years to just get back into management in the industry I love. The older I get, the less I enjoy change and climbing corporate ladders.
I owned small businesses (a specialized home care/entertainment/animal care business for elite clientele and a home lighting and custom furnishings business, which I loved but I worked way too hard. I don’t have that kind of energy anymore) while raising my kids.... but never had an interest, and still don’t .. to really work at growing one so that I’m not working 80 hours a week. This area is so hard to find people who actually want to work and are reliable.
It’s going to take a while for my industry to recover from this shit. It’s one of the hardest hit. But I have faith they will bring me back by next year. In the mean time I gotta do something. I’ve worked way to hard to lose everything at this point! -
2020-05-03 at 11:53 AM UTCThat’s what’s so great though. You could sit around and whine about it, or do what you’re doing to better your life. I’d have a hard time reinventing myself, you’ve got to look outside the box.

Yeah ... I get it. Thank you.
I’m the master (or was) at reinventing myself. I think it comes from being forced into survival mode and having a strong drive to make the stuff I see in my head a reality ... but fuck, I’m tired and really was ready to just be in the here and now .. on cruise control
