Michigan is bible belt?
I thought the bible belt was a southern states thing...
Then again, though, they consider my current place of residence a mini bible belt (relative to surrounding areas). -

2020-05-03 at 12:31 AM UTCI'm from the south, New Orleans, but lived up north for a 4 year spell... The baddest ass wrestlers (Greco and Collegiate style) real olympic style wrestling in the world are in order as it goes:
Iowa, Michigan, and Ohio. Steve Frazier, gold medal 84' Olympics, Steve Goss, Hall of fame, 10 time Natl champ,(college roommate) Dan Gable, that mofo is self explanatory, Steve Welter, Natl champ, my coach, John Mathews, World cup 1980, John hartupee, W C 1980 John Minkel, W C 1980, Mike Johnson, 8 time natl champ,(college roommate).
and so many more, but these are the badass ones that I know of and some were my workout partners.
Steve Goss, and Steve Frazier also coached Robb and Scott Recksteiner At U of M, who were later known as the Steiner Brothers in Fake Pro Wrestling
Steve Goss also took the Toughman contest for Mich. -

My son wrestled for 10 years here in Ohio Wicked. St. Paris is known as the big wrestling high school. My son went to states twice, but that’s a whole other climate.
He wrestled Greco Roman for 2 years. -

I'd be humbled and honored to do so. I have plenty. some I really wish never happened, and some, that I couldn't wish on my worst enemies, and some are enigmas I could never see coming. I wish some could see through my eyes...
In three separate journeys since the 70's
I have lived everywhere from Siberia, where the forest speaks to you through the wind, to far Asia, sleeping in the towers of the abandoned parts of the Jiankou Great Wall in the mountains, to the Sahara, sometimes in forgotten ruins, From Egypt to Sahara Occidental, and sometimes just where the sands cradled me while i slept, just to name a few.
Some places I can't say at all, but I count myself fortunate to even be on this planet. Facing the Uzbekistans alone was nuts. They want all westerners gutted and be-headed. 1 in a billion.... sometimes I still can't believe I'm here.
So many times I shouldn't be here. Maybe that's why i'm so venomous with some here that pick on others, as they'll never know how good they actually have it....
but they might not have it for long... Things are coming. these arguments will matter not. This inter-continental bickering will matter not. The outcome will be in the reaction of the people themselves. and they bring it on with full force...
Who knows, maybe it will fizzle out like in 1987. We were three seconds away from nuclear war. We almost really did it. -

That is SO COOL! I've heard of that school! I'm proud of him already! What an amazing accomplishment..... Ask him if he's heard of Steve Goss... I bet he has... -
2020-05-03 at 1:01 AM UTCI’ll have to ask him. He’s 23 and expecting a daughter any day now. My first grand baby.
He wanted a boy to teach him athletics, but I’m sure he’ll love his little princess.
Boys can come later. -

Tell him what he already knows, that women technically are better wrestlers (and rock/cliff climbers) because they work with strategy and leverage, along with muscle instead of brute strength. Brute strength has it's uses of-course, but a cool head and multi-tasking can overcome incredible odds, including brute strength at times.... Check out the movie "Vision Quest" If he hasn't seen it, he'll like it, and so will she eventually. lol. -
2020-05-03 at 1:27 AM UTCI actually taught him how to wrestle. My two older brothers were wrestlers, and my Dad was a ref.
