I think that buspirone can be used in combination with many form of cannabinoids, whether it be cannabis itself, or certain synthetics.
This idea may.sound wild and nonsensical, but it has merit.
Buspirone is a 5ht1a agonist used to treat anxiety. It has also been discovered to be an antagonist at d3 receptors- responsible for compulsive addiction and addict like behavior. Dopamine modulation can be key in treating addiction. The anti anxiety effects also bolster its effectiveness.
Cannabinoids, specifically, drugs that effect cb1 and cb2 receptors- are classified as analgesics. They are painkillers. Also can help significantly with depression. Longtime addicts can have severe anhedonia from brain dysregulation and cannabinoids can have positive effect in this area.
