The way the media aggressively went after the 'bat soup/wet market' angle is telling though - of the first 40 recorded patients, only like 1/4 of them had been anywhere near the market and patient zero was never identified.
I've got a few articles suggesting that if it was a bioweapon, it was likely manufactured at Fort Detrick in the US if you're interested - that the spate of deaths blamed on vaping late last year were actually the first few people to be seriously affected by COVID.
Anyway, I don't know. Almost every source has a vested interest in attacking or deflecting for someone else. The US is desparately trying to turn the world against China, and China is desparately trying to wash its hands of the matter. I take everything I read on the matter with a huge fistful of salt -
