To try getting everyone's minds off of what's going on, I am starting this thread so people can tell their stories from back when they could actually leave their homes.

One of my best memories is from when a buddy and I were driving along a river road in the spring and the flooding water was almost lapping at the road. My steering felt "squishy" and the road looked funny. I pulled over and we got out to find that the road was moving and wriggling. The flood waters had driven the worms to move to drier ground. We found a Styrofoam cooler floating in the water and spent the next hour filling it up with huge nightcrawlers. I allowed my buddy to take the worms home with him. He was so excited that he woke his sleeping wife to show her our great luck. Yeah, they're divorced and he's remarried now but he's still one of my best friends, has a 200 horse 20 foot Nitro bass boat and a retirement home on Table Rock Lake.

i was eating at this huge food court (eatery) that can accomodate like more than 1000 people at any one time when suddenly it rained so hard that it flooded the entire place in an hour or 2 and what happened was probably 10s of thousands of cockroaches came crawling out from from their flooded home in the drain and every cracks and crevices around the structure.

ive never seen so many cockroaches at any one time in my entire life or since, there were just like floating barges made up of cockroaches.
