I donāt see cliques at all the same as tribes personally ... though similar by simple definition.
IMHO Cliques are the dermal version of a tribe that lack the depth of a tribe - kind of like false eye lashes or spray tanners

NPR radio interviewers trying to sound thoughtful when inverviewing people about 1st world problems.
Reason I say that on my drive in this morning they were talking to a man and wife who had just had a baby and the mom had corona and so couldn't see her baby and the dad was doing all the feeding and taking care of it...the interviewer had that voice that says "oh I care and you're so brave for going through this"..
..that made me fucking cringe...oh poor fucking you, you can't see your baby for a few weeks...meanwhile people are actually dying and/or can't pay their bills. Fucking NPR lol. -
