You call it BS? Seriously? This is about as serious as it gets. Of course the economy needs to be taken into consideration, but not at the cost of thousands of lives! -

Why do you think weāre on lock down? To prevent death.
You will get older ya know, then your perspectives will change, I guarantee it!
All Iām saying is just watch the unemployment rate drop another 10% and I can pretty much guarantee they will restart the economy regardless of how many deaths it will cause -

If no one in the world left their house for 2 weeks, this would be over with. It would just run its course in everyone who already has it, and that would be it. Realistically that will never happen. Even if we āflatten the curveā to almost zero, and we reopen the world for business, if even one person still has it that we donāt know about, it will spread again before a vaccine is available and weāll be right back where we started.
The only other way to really end the spread is to increase testing by a hundredfold or more and track/quarantine every single person who has it or has been exposed to someone that does, like they did in Taiwan and other places. America does not have the capability to do this. Neither do a lot of other countries.
So basically, either this social distance shit will go on for the next year and a half until a vaccine is widely available, crippling the economy in the process, or they will open the flood gates and just let it run wild until pretty much everyone has already caught it and either got better, or died. -

Good so you can finally learn to actually do and start something for yourself instead of relying on others or the corporate culture and workforce to do it for you. Be the man women want and run your own company or join the gig economy. -

There is a double standard here but itās on both sides with opposite reasons.
On one hand the liberal media lambasted trump for not issuing a national stay home order, which while perhaps not constitutionally binding would have had a lot of impact on how states responded, especially conservative states like my own (Florida) where a statewide order wasnāt issued until after they published images on the news of jam packed beaches during spring break. But now theyāre being equally hard on trump for claiming he has absolute authority to OPEN the states back up, which is not true. Is it a double standard, yes.
Meanwhile trump at the beginning was saying heās just a ācheerleaderā for the country and doesnāt have to do shit. Now he wants to crown himself king and have ātotal powerā. You donāt think he needs to make up his mind too?
