God gives you free will, but if you're faithful to him and believe in him you'll join him in paradise.

This world is only a blink. A lot of people wouldn't this about me, but I'm actually a christian and I believe in god, I don't care what anyone says about it, but to be honest I've never been a fan of church because I'm a black sheep and I didn't like church as a kid because I saw how fake it was. People just go just to make an appearance and front in front of other people, like people buying expensive clothes, cars, donating just to show that you have status.

I quit going to church when I was moved out of my parents house, I lost my first apartment due to being hospitalized when I was 18 and I went to my church I was baptized at, still had a job and stuff but my pastour who claimed he loved me wouldn't let me stay with all the hobo's / junkies..

I even remember going there with my gf when I was 18, just to go to sunday church and everyone was staring at as, like YOU LEFT UR PARENTS! YOU LEFT YOUR FAMILY!

I did because I had went to jail twice when i was 17 for my dad picking fights with me and me kicking his ass over trivial shit that other kids in my hood didn't have to deal with.

Because, as I said in the other religion themed thread where you asked this same fucking question, God doesn't save people directly. He "saves" them by allowing them into heaven despite being pieces of shit. The catch is you have to truly repent at the gates.

This is what I kinda believe in a way. I don't think you can the mind set to just do really bad things but thinking in back your head, well if i just repent, or baptized im cool. Thats pretty fucked up.

But I'm sure he will forgive you. I used to not believe in god. But its just say you cut your wrist, how does your skin grow back together? How is it when you look into your loves eyes before you kiss and you see your freckles on your nose in her eyes, like puzzle pieces made from the clay.

I told my architect friend the other day happy easter and he told me in french that he doesn't care. And I wasn't butt hurt about it, its just people see things really different ways.

Yeah, it's like you have to actually feel bad about what you're doing, and the nature of God is that he/she would know if you're lying about it.

I can certainly see where people would believe in a higher power. I don't believe or disbelieve because nobody 100% knows.

The concept of god and what god really is probably just really far out of reach. But why would you go through all of this, the war, sickness, the hate, the poverty, But then you have moments of clarity and happiness.

Like why would you be put here to go through all of that for nothing. to learn nothing, to not care other people. But there definitely are a lot of people that know all of this but just go against, like everyone makes mistakes, but some really go out of there way to screw other people over because they think god isn't real and nothing matters.

It matters when you die. People have near death experiences where they go to hell, totally chained up butt naked over a chimney full of fire, hearing a language from ancient times in a demonic tone, with ocassionaly embers coming up and burning them, and they don't even know how they got there.. why their there.. just fucking hanging for what felt like eternity, and then they finally realize their in hell and when they realize that god pulls them back and tells them its going to be fine and sure they might be missing an arm from combat/car accident, but their brought back with a new respect for the little time we have.

I know it sounds crazy but like 9 years ago or so Idk, i overdosed and I literally was floating over my apartment complex seeing my body being put into a wambulance, then woke up in a hospital really confused, but I definitely remember seeing my body being but in the ambulance. So that makes me believe theres more going on than what people tend to think is going on.

I love to hear anecdotal evidence, like that, doug. Stuff like that convinces me of religion, & spirituality, much more than people reading from The Bible in a church, of whom I don't really know.

Hey I need one of those gates at my front door! Did it come from Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Menards?

Really, what does it all gain a person laying on their deathbed, though, eh? That's why I always have to laugh when I see these old, pathetic fucks who suddenly "find Jesus", but only once they're actually looking into the gates of the Hell they earned.
