Yeah, this one is IR, but it’s a huge plant. I think they hired my company so they can have everything right “on the books”. I actually make $1.50 more than my salary, so it’s all gravy.
Our governor put it in an order that all worksites have to take temps prior to work. Temps sometimes don’t show up for 1-2 weeks with this, so they're still contagious, probably a futile effort, but I’ll get paid to do it.🤷♀️ -

Thats what I was thinking. The vast majority of infected people arent going to show fever as soon as theyre transmissible. I guess its not much more risky than you doing imaging, although theyre probably not using imaging as much for diagnosing now as they were in the beginning now that they ramped up production on PCR.

2020-04-13 at 7:09 AM UTCI might have had the virus and got over it. About a little over a month ago I went to go donate plasma and had a temperature of 102. And they told me to come back tomorrow, I went back and they told me they are going to defer me for 2 weeks. I went in a few days ago. And my temperature was like 99.8 and they told me its too high and to come back tomorrow and the next day it was fine.
I dunno I think of these machines, like they use a machine that is both a thermometer and a pulse/blood pressure machine and they don't really reliable. like if you smoke a cig or drink of water it could screw up the results making it look like you're sick. There was one time my temp was too low, and there like "DiD YOU DRINK WATER?! THATS WHY YOU FAILED!" yet they tell you to stay hydrated before donating.
But hey at least im doing my part to save lives. I'm going in the morning. -

Its different everytime. I guess depending on the demand for supply. Like I started going back in july of last year and the first five times was 60 dollars, then after that it dropped to thirty but then next time was 45. Then It was 55 then after that I got a hundred dollars.
Today I should get sixty. And I really loathed going there initially, but its right down the street from me. And normally the whole process, (you have to a questionaire asking if you sex with older men while doing drugs in france in the 80's lol) would take like an hour and a half, but because everyone is so afraid, I go in and theres just a few other people there so its real quick.
like 45 minutes. But they have changed some things, like they are making you take temp as soon as you walk in so you're not wasting everyones time when usually they would do it after you do the questionaire/kiosk thing.

Actually one of the quickest way to rule out, or rule in pneumonia, is with a chest X-ray. A chest X-ray is then used incrementally to see how well it is resolving. There’s a an appearance that comes with the chest X-rays of Covid patients. They look like they have crushed glass in the bottoms of their lungs. You can actually look up “crushed glass chest” and chest X-ray will be at the top part of the search. I’ve already xrayed of few of these patients, wearing proper PPE, after my first initial scare and quarantine. As long as I have my protection I feel “pretty” confident that I’ll be ok. We are rewearing our N95s, but supplies are getting better. Plus I’ve got some of my own.
In the job I have now I wear 2 hats, so I’m far more heavily involved in triaging patients and assisting with their care, as well as doing xrays. -
