The ethics are what the people who don't have the brains to deal with the technicalities try to make a big deal of.

I joined an anarchy minecraft server that just turned out to be a massive data mine experiment and the reason it was so laggy was because it was recording all ticks for every single change in the map. They are releasing the map file and all the data to data miners that make AI hack bots in minecraft so instead of having to interpret videos into code for the machine learning to use it can just use the server files and have access to a database of 30,000 unique players including myself.

I'm gonna spam https://niggasin.space signs all around spawn in case this ends up in the smithsonian some day

I remember once getting a whole lecture about how we had to be careful of AI cos an Amazon recruitment bot had learned, all by itself, to favour white males using things like membership in things like polo clubs as a heuristic. Apparently they simply performed better in work according to all the key metrics.

Of course the fact that the machine was simply logical didn't matter - dat be racist and sexist was all that mattered, and Amazon agreed and shut the bot down.

When will society just admit that men are inherently better than women at certain things. There’s a reason why we have different olympics

Discrimination in hiring is illegal, so it kinda made sense.

If you are hiring though, it makes sense to go for young white males from just about every perspective. No maternity, no chip-on-the-shoulder, and they have to work harder as they have more to prove than other demographics.
