   I think that just makes it easier for the magpies and squirrels to raid their eggs. I have 3 other birdhouses I will be replacing because they got fucked up by squirrels and magpies last year.
   
   Unfortunately I don't know if I can replace them yet because it seems the birds are using them already.

   I have a sweet air rifle that shoots 1500 ft per sec and has a scope on it. It’s pretty quiet and I can pick squirrels off at 50 plus yards no problem.
   
   I recommend one. I’ve nailed rabbits with it and fried em up 👍🏻
