this is the type of work I can do and build my career path around: little to no code but moving icons wround or doing graphics, web development or videos and the like:

Is it because you're afraid it will take your job away via automation or you will be less desired and paid lower kind of like gay porners are?

    no.

I work in Automation, my job is to automate my job away. It's harder than you'd think.

Qutomation is the future and even in coding it will slowly seep it's way in. Coders get paid way too much anyway compared to other professionals or any group setting compared to others part of the team. Soon their so called unique skills will be less and less unique or readable anyway. They have way too much of an ego and expectations from of work life if you ask me. We should all be valid and respected equally.

You think star trek creating motion graphics, moving animations or even using something as complex as illustrator is easy? It's just as hard and takes a certain kind of mindset and patience not many people have who aren't gamers.

Using Illustrator is a piece of piss, it's just a more complicated version of MS Paint.

Using anything can be easy as piss but actually remembering what each enhancement does, being able to mid this for desired results, having creativity to go along with it, knowing which things can be applied to what objects (you can't even use some tools like puppet warp if the object is linked or embedded and not traced star trek) this can be super confusing stuff particularly before getting into the graphs or the 3d warp stuff. You have to even know math on angles and shit if you really want to get technical with it and it can take a lifetime to master or even learn perspectives and using the perspective grid. It's much harder than it looks star trek and I would argue more difficult than learning basic HTML or javascript or whatever Anna Spysz does and learned in there months.

Says probably everyone with in a high tech company star trek besides people like you and Anna spysz there.

Also remembering where the brushes are and being able to live paint and trace hands raw stuff into it are also a thing star trek. It is really a lifelong study.

So explain to me star trek why you think a coder now with all these automation tools available and webd design software like web flow should be paid so much more than the rest of the team putting in the same hours and effort end being just instrumental to a projects or a compan's success? If you don't have anyone dedicated to raphicw for instance and have someone do everything or it being freelance out you risk getting Yourself in a spiderweb software and Jeff vowel situation where he did his own art for his games:

Vs his more recent stuff where he hires others like me to do it:

The first two shoes when a programmer tries to do it the results.

Why should an artist or a writer who is responsible for making such a game actually good or popular be paid less star trek than some guy writing code on a txt pad?

Obviously coding must be easy, as you don't know how to do it.

Your drawings, i'm sorry to say, do not look anything near this good, tho. j/s

I'm not knocking you for trying...
but your artistic abilities need work. Take some art classes to attain better skills because you are no where near where you need to be- to make a consistent or lucrative income. jmho
