    US Corona virus figures for 24th March

    Cases: 51,083
    Deaths: 544


    Yet across the pond:

    Number of cases

    As of 9am on 24 March 2020, a total of 90,436 people have been tested, of which 82,359 were confirmed negative and 8,077 were confirmed positive. 422 patients in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.


    Does anybody really believe that the US has had about five times as many cases than in the UK, yet only 25% more deaths? If those figures were real that would mean only around 1 in 100 cases in the US led to death, yet in the UK its about 1 in 20.

    Somebody's gotta be lying here.
