One idea that I had was to go and search the area where an armed robber ran from police and see if I could actually find some of the bills. There is also a guy who makes good money fishing dropped change and other valuables that get dropped down metal sidewalk grates in nyc.

You could find others in the network and gather your Skillz to comb the streets and beaches from sunrise to sunset, mapping the hotspots, sharing tips, strategies, getting together for drinks or coffee every waking moment of your free time, just become CONSUMED with the new assembly of metal detectors as though you are bound by marriage, NEVER taking your eyes of one another, sleeping together EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and fucking PLOWING each other's assholes DOZENS of times a day. You should do that.
