i think he does it this way because he likes to and it's cheap for him. having parts like that milled/fabricated would be super duper expensive... especially if you want it done right. and for some shit, cast aluminum is tough enough and isn't going to melt, so why not? i've been talking with some of my bosses about setting up a 3D pla and photogrammetry lab so we can insource some kinds of work that are easy, but cost lots of money if you want someone else to do it. i'd get a flat percentage of the savings, and have a really nice 3D printing/photogrammetry lab i would have the run of, at no cost to me. i'm sure i could make it make money in other ways as well. i mentioned 15k for a set of conformal sticker jigs, and he didn't bat an eye...

anyways, myfordboy is a fine dude and he doesn't talk in his videos.

it's because the people on this site are idiots and losers. i am above the level of mud and feces they prefer to wallow in like pigs, so it doesn't excite them.

I'm already selling my 3D printed designs and parts to my own job/company. When we couldn't source the parts we needed for a new product I just designed them myself...doesn't cost anything like 15k, it costs $18 for a roll of PLA.

oh, btw, casting aluminum is dead simple.

even negrows can melt alloy wheels and cast them into pots and pans.

It's not a midlife crisis...I've always had interests that involve buying equipment ...even as a young-fella-me-lad. My thirst for knowledge and practical application has been a lifelong thing.

It was just the 1 felon/stripper (same wife #2). Wife #1 was a goody-two-shoes church girl.

    From heaven to hell.

    (both were expensive)

i just want a square that i can clamp to the face plate, and then drill and dremel out the trapezoidal slot and the two screw holes.
