Because girls in anime are more like traditional women. They aren't shown to be some strong headed independent person that lives alone, makes money and doesn't need no man in her life except at the club!
And if they are like that it's because they have some kind of personality flaw like being a weirdo.
The anime cuties that everyone falls in love with are strong independent women that are community oriented, have their own passions and goals in life. Even the slice of life and highschool animes that focus on lives in the "real world" feature women being positive uplifting people. I guess it's just an ideal that people become fixated on because it's so different from how western women in modern society behave.
Like in Japan everyone is just soulless robots working for the company and society and getting likes on instagram and nobody wants to have sex so they come up with this idealized versions of reality that is very popular around the world. -

Real girls are awful and treat guys their own age like shit. It isn't the primary function of guys to entertain girls, especially while getting nothing in return. Girls are incredibly entitled, you have no idea. If you are surprised so many guys are nopeing out and having less and less to do with girls you simply don't have enough exposure to what it is like. About the only sensible way to approach girls is as a fuccboi, if you try to actually interact with them you'll have a bad time. -
