I take it I’m being niave? I could see the DNC encouraging someone to run, but I’m quite sure they didn’t ask Bernie to run. Same with Styer, Bloomberg.

i dont understand american politics but why cant bernie just run as an independent candidate ? why he had to rely on DNC to nominate him ?

If he ran as an independent, he would have no votes. The two-party dichotomy is so entrenched in our electoral system it would be impossible for a third party candidate to win
