Um you clearly don't know your bikes if you think a GSX-R 1100 or even an RD350LC were town bikes, lol.

You clearly have never toured in the US.

    Non sequitur.

    Different bikes for different applications

You want a boringly slow "dad" bike, get a tour bike
You want a fun fast racing bike, get a sports bike
You want an off road bike, get a trail bike
    etc

No it doesn't. See edit above. I had bikes in England...so any I owned and their usefulness as tour bikes is ...non sequitur.

Even more so now. The bikes you posted picture of are town bikes in the vast open US.

Are you going to post at all during your 10-day vacation?

Again I wasn't in the US...and no they were most definitely sports/race bikes, not town bikes...Both models there were raced competitively...a town bike would be a fucking moped. lol

You're probably one of those Sunday bikers that spent their money on a bike like a Harley...2x the price for 1/2 the bike.

In your neck of the woods a moped may be a bike.

Tour bikes/Cruisers and mopeds were one and the same in my neck of the woods..slow. Might as well own a car.

Like I said earlier ITT try taking one of those crotch crickets from Detroit to Vegas. Then you will know why we call them town bikes.

Um wouldn't be a problem. You really are limited on your knowledge of bikes huh.

That statement shows me you have never toured the US on bike.

That statement shows me you haven't got any experience riding bikes of all types. Any reasonably sized modern bike is capable of cross country Detroit to Vegas, it's only 2k miles, lol.

People who don't know amuse those of us who do when they think they do.

I've ridden hundreds of thousands of miles on motorcycles...2k Detroit to Vegas is nothing...but feel free to share the difficulties of such a ride that I'm apparently unaware of.

Also list your extensive experience of crotch rockets, models, and length of time owned and ridden...just to make sure you do know what you're talking about...
