   I grew up in New York in the 80s and 90s and am nostalgiaing way the fuck out. Simple things, the cars, the fire hydrants, the delis, the coffee cups. It's like a lost civilization, a whole way of living most people will never understand.

   I tried to watch it and thought it was gay. I think The Wire was HBO and Sopranos was showtime? And showtimes shows generally suck.
   
   But it's like FX shows, people who are easily pleased liked The Shield, or Sons of Anarchy or all those generic shows about hillbilly criminals but I thought they all sucked really bad. Like The Shield had that comedian Anthony Anderson playing some gangster. I think a lot of the hillbilly shows featured the main pig in The Shields bucktooth sidekick that killed his family at the end. Similar with any series I saw from Showtime.
