   The death toll from strong earthquakes that shook western Afghanistan has risen to 2,000, a Taliban spokesman said.

   Well, I guess caves would be prone to caving in. (Yes, in my mind everyone in Afghanistan is a Mujahideen hiding in a cave waiting for a US or Russian convoy to ambush.)
