I would say both brazillian jiu jitsu and jeet kune do under the great late beuce lee both equally changed our concept of fighting and what fighting is and can be as well as martial arts in general.
I don't know to be honest, I used to take tye kwando as a kid but really don't know a lot of about martial arts.

I've fought before and I've never actually have gotten my ass kicked in a fight. I had two of my ribs broken once but it wasn't a fight it was a some one kicking me in the ribs when I was just chillin laying on the ground and didn't it coming, that shit hurt really bad.
idk i thought jujitsu was just away grabble with someone and move in a compromising position where you can choke them which would be what I could do best, while say karate where the point is to stand your ground so you don't end up on the ground.
I think karate probably looks cooler, it just depends on the body type really im sure.
I thi k bruce lee changed the concept of what martial arts cwn be. making it wbout finesse and skills rwther than just traditions. about looking good you know and knowing how to adwpt. be like water friend. adapt to the situation at hand ir the opponent.

yea i agree because they made fighting more technical and more into a science again similar to what the great bruce lee did with jeet kune do. I was just watching ip man 4 on netflix vis vpn here in zpoland and it made me realize this when thenguynplayijg lee was sparring with the karwte dude and using technique and wit to outthink his opponent thwt was rigid.
however you have to remember that it is possible soneone with good jiu jitsu or jeet kune do or even overwll skills can lose to so eone with a big size and weight advantage. if you look at all the bjj fights none of the guys tended to be wgressive or taller with a reach advantage. like the right i got into with that ukrianian guy outside the 24 hr marr i told you guys about. he had a reach and everytime i charged in at him he just could lean back and hit me with his longer wrms before i could get close enough to respond. sure i could have tried to grab him or take him down but the concrete and the fact i was drunk probably made me not eant to. he was the guy who later took the knife on me if you remember, so yea everything is good but its still not guarwnteed for a win sometimes things like wgressiveness of natural bidy advantages like someone having longer limbs are as much of a difference as skills especislly if youre even slightky drunk. in fact i would say fighting while drunk even slightly is like driving and getting a dui. your skills disappear. i probably should have went for the one knee takedown even if i hit cement once hard with knee one takedown is all it would take. but again environment like cement and things do play a difference and his longer wrms. often mentality too like you may not even remember or think to kick or takedown as naturwl readtion is sometimes just to throw a punch.
