I like to burn video files to them to have a physical copy.
Right now I'm burning Throbbing Gristle's TGV boxset to dvd-rs.

Yes, I burn all my downloaded movies to DVD to play on my Divx/blueray player. Got around 2200 DVDs with an average of 4 movies on each..that's from about 20yrs of burning them.

Too many now to transfer to one big hard drive...that would take like weeks/months...fuck that.

Do you encode them like a normal dvd or as a data dvd?
If the first you must be using dvd+r.
If dvd+r your collection is around 17tb.

I have a carrier case that holds 400 discs but I plan on getting several and designating them to specific uses like one for bdr the other for dvd, then sort it by cobtent like music, documentaries and movies, live stuff etc

My drummer buddy burns CD's of him playing with his various groups he plays for (oldies, country, Allman Bros. tribute band, etc.) I have a six disc CD player in my car and it plays mostly him for a party in my car!

I also have a CD boom box in my bathroom as well as an under-cabinet CD player in my kitchen.
