Going to a Bernie Sanders rally

   Im on the Trump train myself but I heard of a Bernie Sanders rally about an hour away where my sister lives so I thought I out to make the trip. She loves the guy and when I told her he was gonna be in town she was very excited. I dont think Bernie has much of a chance. Polling 48% with dems now is not the same as polling 48% with the entire country and his socialist views are too apperent for those still suffering from cold war syndrome to gain any traction. But he is an important facet of the election year. Among all the candidates we have Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump represent the real divide in the parties themselves. These are the candidates that Hilary and Cruz supporters think are a cancer in their own party. Rather than a cancer these differences in view are merely a product of a bad system. 2 parties is hardly enough to contain the entire political ideology of a nation and there are emerging views that demand to be heard.
   
   Anyway I thought I owe it to myself to really experience this election year and I think seeing what the Bern has to say and to talk to his supporters will be at the least an interesting experience.

   Update:
   Went to the rally last night. Stood in line for two and a half hours before getting into the rally. The setup was actually rather disappointing and not well laid out. The people there were okay. I saw some friends from highschool and now they probably think I am a Bernie fan because I was there. It was a good time overall. Talked to some interesting people ranging from people who think flat out that the right is evil to people who just think the system is broken. Seeing him speak didnt change my mind but I appreciate Sanders as a politician. He has fought for the same things during his time in office and cant be called a flip flopper. Regardless of left or right I have to respect a guy with constitution like that.

    Lol, you realize politicians don't actually enjoy the campaign process right? It takes up a lot of time and effort and doesn't make them (personally) a corresponding amount of money. It's true that you can accomplish things even by losing but if Sanders were just after money he has a lot better options than running for the democratic nomination.
