   I've never been the brand of alcoholic that utilized any other forms of alcohol other than what one can purchase at the liquor store, so the truth is, this is not my forte and i have not the correct answer for you.
   
   The one halfway house I drank in I was a real smoozer and got along really well with the handful of college kids doing the internships there, so much so that I could fail the random test they gave me and they kept it on the hush hush.

   No hobo, but I did actually try a few swigs of it with some bums a few years ago.
   
   I just wanted to try it once for the sake of trying it. It can't be anywhere remotely good for you.

   At first glance, this little diagram seems like a promising indicator that the two metabolic pathways are entirely distinct, BUT... The main biomarker used to detect ethanol use (Ethyl glucuronide) is actually not even on there, so I have no idea.
   
   Each metabolic process probably has multiple resulting metabolites, which of course complicates things.

    ive drank isopropyl like 10 times. i don't think its much more dangerous than ethanol, but imo 1ml isopropyl = 10ml ethyl so its easy to overdose on if you dont dose carefully. also tastes putrid. the drunk feeling is better than regular alcohol and lasts 24+ hours but i always feel like a hobo when i do it. it metabolizes into acetone which isnt significantly dangerous either and surprisingly has a sedative effect of its own, which causes the 24+ hour drunk. my research into isopropyl also made me learn that you can get drunk on acetone too without die syndrome
    The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

    I did it a couple times when I was a teenager but I couldn't get down very much of it and didn't notice any effect
