   What the hell is the backstory on this pic, anyway?
   
   First off, the "swastika" has roots in South Asia, so a lot of folk from the Indus Valley (i.e.: "Indians") were rocking the symbol for centuries before Hitler brought it back.
   
   But the red flags are unfamiliar to me...
   
   It still might just be some random Hindu sect. I'm leaning towards that explanation.

    I'm by no means an expert in WWII history, but the general impression I gathered was that Italy was, alongside Germany and Japan, after whatever they could get, whether that be Abyssinia/Ethiopia, or simply the rest of the Eastern Bloc, or, even, the rest of the World.
