   Anime style media uses facial expressions and intense emotional characterization and voice acting so that their audience will clearly recognize exactly each emotion that each character is expressing.
   
   It is most popular with, and aimed at, autists because they have trouble recognizing emotional expressions portrayed on live-action TV shows and movies. A medium in which these expressions are clearly laid out and spoon fed to them allows them to better understand character development and subtext, and reduces confusion about why the characters act the way they do.

   There are many different types of animation, such as anime, American comic style, claymation, stop motion, cartoon, various avant garde styles etc
