The blue line is internet explorer, so it's not all bad.
Most of Chrome is open sourced as Chromium.
Yeah it is too bad Mozilla got more interested in social justice than they did in optimising load times.

Chrome comes default on Android devices and it's not as utterly abhorrent to use as IE so people don't feel obligated to get a different browser. The rise in Chrome use probably correlates directly to the popularity of android as a platform. It's not a sign of the end times any more than the popularity of IE was back in the day. It's just the new default browser.
