If Trump doesn't start listening to people who tell him how an economy works he's going to trigger one. Not really though, the EU figured out pretty quickly trump was a shitty dumbass so they didn't put all their eggs in his basket. Protectionist policies are the biggest and dumbest steps towards a crisis that were experiencing now.

it took the US reneging on the JCPOA for them to realise that US foreign policy does not take its 'friends' into account
I've only seen very recent signs of the EU moving away from US dependence, ie. most countries (specifically France) maintaining the JCPOA even with Trump threatening them with sanctions, Germany continuing to work on the North Stream pipeline in the face of the nonsense Crimea sanctions etc.
Up until now I think the EU's attitude can best be summed up with their involvement in the coup in Ukraine - Victoria "Fuck the EU" Nuland famously complained that the EU would essentially give political cover but would not take direct action in the regime change op.

Countries like Italy want out of the EU as they move to the right for one simple reason...they don't want to end up like Greece and the EU is failing. The EU cannot survive by being run by non elected beaurocrats in Berlin and forced to keep their borders open. Social services alone have escalated and if Trump removes military support for NATO the EU will regret having listened to globalists like George Soros. The next recession will start mid 2019...the globalists will do everything possible to destroy any benefits Trump created and Democrates being traitors have not stopped trying to destroy America. With Hungary, Sweden and even Germany moving to the right Trump tactics are working and it has strengthened our economy.

It was supposed to happen last year but Trump staved it off so it could be any day now, all we need is one event to trigger it like dominoes
