Have you ever noticed that even when it's hot out that you still like to sleep with a bedsheet on? There's some kind of primal sense of comfort that comes with having something warm covering your skin while you're lying down trying to sleep. Even when I'm not sleeping, I still want a blanket over me when I'm relaxing watching TV or laying on a couch or something.
Back to sleep. I could be dead wrong here, but I feel like I need more sleep than average. But I do not oversleep well.
If I get more than 9 hrs- This is horrible, why did I sleep so long? I feel drowsy and lowsy.
If I get 8 hours- Alright, plenty of pep. This is good. I haven't done this on a weekday in years (but I really don't need quite 8).
7hrs 30 min- I think better than 8. About perfect for me, I have energy, firing on all cylinders, ready to rock right when I wake up.
7 hrs- Good. Not as good as eight, but I will do well for a day with this much.
6:30- Okay. Starting to be mildy uncomfortable.
6- Bad. Not awful, but a pretty crappy feeling that lasts all day.
5:45 or less- I'm awful to be around, everything hurts, and I'm falling asleep.
A lot of people seem to function perfectly fine on 6 or even less though, and I just don't get that. I mean you can drink coffee for a while, but that game gets old after a few hours and it hits a point to where coffee just stops working.
I sleep like a Queen! I have a Queen (Sealy?) gel top mattress with 800 thread count sheets (not Egyption cotton). Although I can sleep on just about anything if I have to.
What's your sleep story, sweetie?

I can manage just fine on four or five hours. I might be miserable for the first two hours, but after that the second wind seems to carry me through most of the day.
